A few thoughts:
1. How can their best film and best foreign film not appear on their top ten films or top five foreign films lists? Seems odd.
2. I love to see the recognition for Ben Affleck and Amy Ryan; I'm hoping Gone, Baby Gone gets some more recognition as the awards season goes on.
3. How could they have left off every lauded documentary that any of us has ever heard of (or that I have ever seen?) Where's the love for King of Kong?
4. The Bucket List? Promising.
1. I believe the top ten lists are assumed to be the ten next best after their winners.
2. I, too, am happy for Affleck. He deserves a comeback.
3. I'm really surprised to not see No End in Sight there. The Academy pulls the same crap every year - last year it was Wordplay.
4. Bucket List was indeed a shock... the trailer has me worried.
